Experiencing Community Cohesion through the celebrations and symbolism of religious sacred texts.

Through a stunning presentation of the Hindu sacred text, the Ramayana by Year 11 pupils. The production of a DVD and accompanying posters and production materials. It is an excellent example of the way religious education promotes an understanding of community cohesion through drama.

Kingsdale is a mixed Foundation School with over 1000 students from a multicultural background. It is a popular and progressive school, which was identified as one of the DCSF’s Most Improved Schools in the country for six years. Kingsdale was in the top ten schools in this category at Key Stage 3 nationally for two successive years. The school has the highest Value Added score in the Local Authority. Kingsdale is renowned for outstanding performance in mathematics and music. It’s success has been recognised and rewarded through the achievement of two School Improvement Awards and Specialist Status in Performing Arts.
