Purpose & aims of school project
Experiencing Community Cohesion through inter-faith dialogue.
For pupils to experience through dialogue, a deeper understanding of how they can relate to pupils of a similar age who have a different faith, respecting their similarities and differences. To then enable the children at Clore Tikva School to articulate their experiences within the school, within the local community and within the international community and produce a DVD as evidence of this.
Clore Tikva is a voluntary aided nursery, infant and junior school for children between the ages of three and eleven. The modern premises, completed in the summer of 2000, occupy an extensive and conveniently located site in the northern part of a densely populated borough of Redbridge. The total complement of pupils, including those attending nursery is in the region of 470. Clore Tikva is an inclusive Jewish school (the name is derived from the philanthropic Clore foundation that supplied part of the original funding, and Tikva the Hebrew word for hope).
